The product image is a picture of a high quality scan of my original painting, from which the Giclee print or poster will be made. Gallery images show the original drawing, and other views, including what the piece looks like framed. Raw prints and posters look great, but the Multi-Media Originals are spectacular because of the glistening paints and sparkling and glossy pens I use. Pictures don’t do the final result justice. Two Views of Lily was the first drawing in a brand new Moleskine notebook I started working in around January of 2018, just as I was getting really ill with pulmonary fibrosis. This was when my on-again off-again relationship with our princess kitty, Lily, transformed to one of deep connection and mutual healing, and began filtering into my work. I didn't intentionally draw Lily for this piece, she just showed up stunningly beautiful in the ink smear I did that day.
Two Views of Lily is one of my most popular pieces. Every piece I do brings me great joy, but this one and the one simply titled "Lily" are extra special to me. They both bring me right back to having her curled up on my lap or sleeping nestled behind me. They always make me smile. Thanks for looking!
