The product image is a picture of a high quality scan of my original painting, from which the Giclee print will be made. Gallery images show the original smear, the original drawing, and other views, including what the piece looks like framed. Because of the glistening paints and sparkling and glossy pens I use, pictures don’t do the final result justice. The hand repainted prints are spectacular. She Worriescame about at a difficult time in early summer of 2015. I had recently learned that I likely had Pulmonary Fibrosis, the disease that would nearly kill me and lead to a bilateral lung transplant in April of 2020. The owner of the house where Super Jess and I had lived for eight years died, and her kids immediately sold the property. The new owner wanted to renovate so we were forced to move. Our rent doubled just like that. REO Speedwagon had had a slow start to the year, so my employment as guitar tech for Kevin Cronin looked to be seriously at risk. That year would ultimately turn out to be a very good one with REO, as were all the years after until I was pulled from the road by my doctors in 2019, but I didn't know that then. As soon as we moved I thought, "I'd better start drawing like my life depends on it." She Worries was the first piece to come out of that new frame of mind. It embodies all the anxious uncertainty that both Super Jess and I felt that summer.
