The product image is a picture of a high quality scan of my original painting, from which the Giclee print will be made. Gallery images show the original smear, the original drawing, and other views, I don’t have a good picture of it framed. Because of the glistening paints and sparkling and glossy pens I use, pictures don’t do the final result justice. The hand repainted prints are spectacular. Diane was my mother-in-law, a super strong, super intelligent woman. She cured herself from her first bout with lymphoma through energy healing when the doctors told her she had no chance of survival. She lived another sixteen years after that and became an energy healer herself. I could talk to Diane about ANYTHING, anything. After her husband of fifty years, Frank died in 2011 she soldiered on for another five years, but unbeknownst to her family her lymphoma returned in 2015 or so, and she didn't have the energy, or maybe the desire to fight it again. She died in the summer of 2016. When I received a little packet of her ashes I decided to put them in an ink smear, and see what Diane might reveal to me. I know she would approve of my experiment and of the resulting drawing. Diane's Ashes says so much to me and encompasses so many experiences we shared over the roughly thirty years I knew her. The thing about Diane is, I know she is still near me, watching over me and Super Jess, giving us little nudges from wherever she is, and helping us navigate this crazy world.
