The product image is a picture of a high quality scan of my original painting, from which the Giclee print will be made. Gallery images show the original drawing, and other views, including what the piece looks like framed. Because of the glistening paints and sparkling and glossy pens I use, pictures don’t do the final result justice. The hand repainted prints are spectacular. The Walkin' Man was an incidental painting. It's on the inside cover of a sketchbook, on the first page of which I had done an ink smear, which also incorporated some of the ashes of my mother-in-law and father-in-law, Diane and Frank.I always do a short meditation before I start my smears, and I like to incorporate the ashes of loved ones sometimes, to see how they will inform the work. The Walkin' Man is me. That's what the REO crew used to call me because I was always off walking miles to find a decent coffee shop first thing in the morning before we loaded in for a gig, or as soon as the bus stopped at our hotel for a day off. The wind at my back from the head in the clouds in this one is Frank. I'm out there seemingly alone on a deserted road, but he is invisibly supporting me as I am certain both he and Diane do from the other side of life.
