After I got my double lung transplant in 2020 and COVID hit, as a necessity I turned to my artwork as a way of espressing myself, and as a way of sustaining myself financially. Previously i had worked mostly in pen and ink from a small Moleskin notebook i had cut down to fit in my Levi jacket pocket. To make larger pieces, I would scan the original small piece, have it printed larger, then repaint that to sell. As i became more comfortable with paint as a medium, i also started to use larger paper, and eventually canvas. i also started painting artwork on guitars, and as i was working on a guitar, i would take the leftover paint of whatever color i was using and smear it on canvas or paper and see what became of it. This painting was a product of that process.
